Well after both finishing work on Friday, and both receiving small gifts and cards (not bad for three months work!), we went out on Saturday night with some of the family down our local and first thing Sunday morning we were on the Megabus up to London.
We fly out to Amsterdam on Tuesday to meet up with Anna and resume our European touring parade. In the meantime we've got two days in the capital to catch up with some of the London crew. Namely Phil, Cheryl, Mike, Rach, Matty, Kimmy and Ray(pist) on the Sunday evening. We all had a bite in a pub in Leicester Square before heading on down to the Australian piss-up shack The Walkabout.
Warning - do not go to the Yates pub in Leicester Square. They are a total rip off! Amongst getting numerous things wrong and not displaying their drinks prices - they charge £7.40 for a G&T double! If you really want to know how scary that is back home that's just short of NZ$20. Don't worry, I got my money back!
Sadly we forgot our camera so there's no photos from yesterday, but if you check out Matty & Kim's blog I'm sure they'll stick theirs online at some stage. We're off to meet up with Sheryl's brother for lunch shortly and I think tonight we'll have a nice easy night in. I'm sure we said we were going to take it easy last night too. The photos might suggest otherwise.
Negotiating our way through the morning traffic on the Tube tomorrow with our heavy packs ain't gonna be much fun, but making our next Blog post from The Netherlands certainly will be!
