Un jour en Paris

Bonjour tout le monde,

Well we arrived safe and sound in Paris after our long and painful journey here. Unfortunately had a drunken/junkie weirdo on our bus for the entire journey. We both had about an hours sleep, but it was cheap and we made it here so we can't complain.

We're staying in the Latin Quarter - our hostel isn't that flash but the area is lovely, with plenty of cheap food like un pain au chocolat for 1 euro (which we enjoyed for our first petit dejeuner).

We walked through Le Jardin des Plantes this afternoon before strolling along the Seine to the Notre Dame. It was amazing to see it all in real life. We went browsing through the tiny streets of the Latin Quarter and it was so refreshing to see specialised shops along the whole street thriving, instead of the mainstream franchised outlets you become accustomed to.

Speaking French today has been interesting. After such little sleep we're both really tired but our efforts have been well received.

We've taken heaps of photos already but not sure how easy it will be to upload them from our camera. But if we can we'll put a selection on.

Anyway this French keyboard is starting to annoy us so we shall end it here!
