On Monday we went out to Burley which is a small town near the New Forest. There were heaps of horses and ponies roaming freely throughout the streets and didn’t seem to be bothered by all the people.
We found a spot to eat our packed lunch under some trees on a carved wooden seat with authentic ‘country air’ wafting by (there was plenty of horse poo around!)

The town was filled with little quaint shops, like ‘The Witches Coven’, full of ornaments and souvenirs that the tourists lap up. There was one that caught our eye that sold some of the latest mobile phone technology – go Burley! Good to see they’re up with the times.

We went home through the New Forest and came across a few ponies who thought they owned the road.
The weather has been better this week but it’s looking even better in Europe! 37° in Madrid! Boo-yeah!
