Last post before Paris

My cousin Andrea’s wedding on Saturday was good fun. She looked really beautiful as did her three bridesmaids. A group of us met up half an hour before the service and had a quick drink at the Fisherman’s Haunt pub, it was only a few minutes drive away from the Church.

The service was nice and of course afterwards there was a flurry of photos.

The reception was at a nearby sports & social club in Christchurch and everybody ended up having a good time with the help of a few beverages along the way. The speeches were brief and The Most Hammered Award definitely goes to Michael’s Best Man.

Sheryl had a good time boogying the night away with the girls (I put in my quota of dance time) and I was well impressed with the dancing from some of the older generation, breaking away from the ‘Middle-age shuffle’.

The fun and games came to an end at 11pm when the bar closed. It was a really nice day and great to spend time with all the family, as well as seeing some old faces.

Todayis our last day in England before we head off. Our trip starts at 4pm and we’re due to arrive in Paris early the next morning.

Until our next post in Paris – a bientôt!
