We arrived safely at Heathrow yesterday and quickly whisked straight back up the M1 to my Dad's place in Dronfield, Sheffield. Weather is a bit disappointing after Canada. What can I say - it's grey & slightly miserable. But it's not cold, and they have been having some good weather up and down the country and will have more before summer is out. So enough with the weather whinging.
I think it was because we checked in later than we'd hoped - but we ended up getting upgraded to Premium Economy for our flight from Toronto to Heathrow! That means we were right at the front of the plane, had heaps of leg space, our own TV/Games screens and, best of all, a complimentary British newspaper before the flight. Nothing says 'Important' more than when you walk past someone on a plane with a complimentary newspaper.
Not much planned for the next week or so - probably get out and about and show Sheryl the sights, sounds (and hopefully not smells) of Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
