Good time to leave this land

We fly out to Barcelona today to hit Europe for a week. And the timing couldn't be better after last night's disastrous All Blacks result! So exactly when does an entire pub population of Englishmen begin cheering the Frogs? When they've made the semi-final earlier in the afternoon that's when.

I really couldn't believe we lost that game, not surprisingly a couple of important decisions against New Zealand made by the referee have been missed in the UK's reporting of the game I noted this morning, but I suppose that's the cruel beast that is sport! I know how much this silly game really does mean to people back home so I can only imagine the mourning process that's underway. Think of us and next Monday at work! Oh lordy.

To the Englishman who sported a French shirt and persisted in having a go throughout the match and rubbing it in our faces come full time - I apologise not for throwing your silly little black beret across the pub! I highly doubt you'll be wearing that foreign outfit next Saturday.

Adios for now.

what's the difference between an All Black and a teabag? - a teabag stays in the cup longer! or have you heard about the new All Blacks bra? All cup and no support! or how's this one - when England won yesterday (a very touchy all blacks supporter - who by the way shares the same household!) was having a conversation with an England supporter after we beat the French "English supporter says - when we ran down the pitch..."...."its not a pitch! if you Brits knew anything about rugby you'd know the All Blacks play on a paddock!"...."Pitch, paddock it really doesn't bloody matter - the All Blacks can't play on either cos' we're in the final and your'e not!". Got the flags flying off the deck - go the red, white and blue! somemothersdohaveem!

You were more right than you think. If we (NZ that is- I'm not English:) -lose again next time "no support" will probably be right on the money...

Not true Dennis. The All Blacks have been the number one team in the world for a long time, and have an all time winning record superior to anyone else.

The way they play their rugby (outside of the World Cups!) and the respect (most) rugby nations have for them (if they say otherwise they're jealous) is something Kiwis can be very proud of.

What determines the best side in the world? Being ranked number one regularly over long periods of time, or winning the World Cup every four years?
